Discover Black Bob
Bienvenidos y Saludos!
Welcome to Black Bob Elementary School, a dual language school proud to offer a Spanish Immersion program, one of only two in the 36 elementary schools of the Olathe School District. This year, we celebrate 47 years of history in the heart of Olathe.
Black Bob serves students in grades Pre-K through 5, offering both Spanish Immersion and English sections in a nurturing, academically strong environment supported by our dedicated staff.
As home of the Thunderbirds, we promote positive behavior through our Color Crews program and the "4 B's": Be Kind, Be Safe, Be Helpful, and Be the Best You!
Black Bob is more than a school, it is a community. Supportive parents, talented teachers, caring staff, and over 400 students make this a special place to learn and grow. We are proud to host the Jared Coones Pumpkin Run, a 5K in October that draws thousands of runners and has raised millions for our community. Jared, a former student, is remembered through this event, and his legacy strengthens our school community.
We are excited to welcome you and hope you feel at home at Black Bob Elementary.
¡Hasta pronto!
Cruz Gallegos
